- Sets up and operates woodworking machines, and tools to cut and shape parts from wood stock.
- Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
- Glues, fits, and clamps parts and assemblies together to form complete unit, using clamps or clamping machine.
- Use of saw machine to cut wood templates.
Experience and qualifications
- Ability to understand how to translate dimensions to reality.
- Must understand working drawings and carpentry joinery methods.
