Head of Deployments at Zipline Nigeria – Abuja and Lagos (2 Openings)

Zipline Nigeria is recruiting a Head of Deployments, Africa, with openings in Abuja and Lagos. This regional leadership role is accountable for taking new distribution locations from contract signing through site commissioning and operational handover.

Responsibilities

• Direct simultaneous distribution-site launch programmes across Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire, including permitting, land, construction, utilities, hiring and commissioning.
• Lead the first Kigali Precision Delivery launch through agreed readiness and go/no-go milestones.
• Own the deployment playbook, standard bills of materials, schedules and acceptance criteria to make launches repeatable.
• Coordinate country-wide customs, spare-parts and power strategies and resolve delivery risks early.
• Hand over sites against written acceptance gates, with accountability for defects during the first 90 days.
• Recruit and lead a flexible multidisciplinary deployment team, balancing permanent specialists, country teams and contractors.
• Work with Country Directors, government and regulatory bodies, Engineering, Supply Chain and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 12–15 years’ experience delivering complex multi-site infrastructure or network build programmes.
• Hands-on experience with African land, permitting, customs, power, contractor and government processes; West African experience is valued.
• A record of managing several builds in parallel against contractual deadlines.
• Ability to develop scalable deployment processes and lead teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, programme management, commercial and operational judgement.
