Contracts Advisor III at Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited – Lagos

Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited is recruiting a Contracts Advisor III in Lagos to coordinate project contracting from strategy development and tendering through award, administration and final close-out.

Contract strategy and sourcing

• Prepare contracting strategies, plans, contractor qualification documents and tender shortlists.
• Develop Invitations to Tender and coordinate evaluation of bids and commercial proposals.
• Maintain accurate tender correspondence, clarification records and agreed contract provisions.
• Lead or support negotiations, endorsements, contract approvals and award recommendations.
• Review pricing and commercial analysis for project decision-making.

Contract administration

• Maintain final contract files and coordinate internal and external contract kickoff meetings.
• Guide project teams on contractual obligations, claims prevention and change control.
• Review contractor and subcontractor plans, procedures, commercial documents and guarantees.
• Maintain document registers and contractual notices and correspondence.
• Oversee invoicing and payment compliance, amendments, change orders and deviation logs.
• Monitor subcontracting from qualification to execution and advise on commercial risks and mitigation.
• Measure contractor performance, capture lessons learned and develop contract close-out plans and agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Experience in contracts engineering or administration is preferred; experience in a closely related position is required.
• Commercial negotiations, contractor management and contract administration experience.
• Sound knowledge of project execution and contracting principles.
• Willingness to travel for work or relocate to domestic or overseas project locations where necessary.
• Owner-operator project management exposure is an advantage.
• Relevant professional certification, including ISM CPM/CPSM, APICS or PMP.
