Position Title: Junior Accountant.

Job Station: Lagos State.

INTRODUCTION:-

Junior Accountant job opportunity is available at ND Western Limited for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-

General:

• Ensure compliance with statutory authority and audit requirements.
• Maintain integrity of accounting system(software), ensuring it always remains effective and operational.
• Responsible for accounting entries and ensure correct coding of all transactions in the ERP.
• Prepare Monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements.
• Ensure supplier invoices are properly approved and suppliers are paid in a timely fashion.
• Reconciliation of Suppliers account.
• Report on weekly outstanding commitment to suppliers.
• Timely preparation and remittance of various statutory taxes (e.g., WHT-State & Federal, VAT).
• Providing support for audit (e.g., tax audit and audit of the company’s financial statement).
• Assist with monthly accruals.
• Maintain meticulous records.
• Assist with the timely completion of Month End, Quarter End and Year End Activities.
• Ensure tax receipts/telex copies are obtained from the bank and archived electronically.
• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned from time to time.

Financial Accounting:

• Maintain record of all business advances to staff for official assignments and reporting status periodically usually monthly.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:-

• 1 – 2 years working experience in finance and accounts or related field.
• B.Sc. – Accounting, or Finance or STEM or Other. 2(i) or 1st must.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Knowledge of any accounting software- Added Advantage.
