Legal & Compliance Officer at an Investment Firm via UnoCasa – Victoria Island, Lagos

A SEC-licensed fund and portfolio management firm in Victoria Island, Lagos, is hiring a Legal & Compliance Officer through UnoCasa. The role involves regulatory reporting, legal agreements and financial-services governance.

Duties

• Manage required SEC filings, including daily, quarterly management, AUM and annual reporting.
• Interpret SEC Nigeria rules, investment legislation, anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing obligations.
• Draft, review and negotiate investment management, service-level and confidentiality agreements.
• Maintain interactions and statutory filings with bodies including SEC, NFIU, CAC and FIRS.
• Develop and operate AML/CFT, Know Your Customer and customer due diligence controls.
• Advise on legal risks, regulatory compliance and internal governance.

Qualifications

• LL.B and BL qualifications are required.
• Three to six years in legal and compliance positions within asset management, fund management or investment banking.
• Experience handling SEC Nigeria rules and filings, with strong drafting, analytical skills and professional integrity.
