Injection Machine Operator via Janchine Nigeria Limited – Ilupeju, Lagos State

An employer in Ilupeju, Lagos, is recruiting a full-time Injection Machine Operator through Janchine Nigeria Limited to operate plastic moulding equipment, monitor quality and carry out routine machine servicing.

Summary

• We are seeking a dedicated and technical Injection Machine Operator to manage our plastic molding machine operations, quality control, and routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Operations

• Parameter Adjustment: Set up moulds, calibrate, and operate plastic injection molding machines according to product specifications and production targets.
• Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor machine temperature, pressure, dosage, and cycle times to ensure continuous, defect-free production.
• Material Loading and Management: Load plastic resins and colorants/masterbatches into hoppers, ensuring correct material ratios and pre-drying parameters, and reuse and regrind material as required with a grinding machine.

Quality Control & Documentation

• Product Inspection: Conduct visual and dimensional checks on finished plastic products to identify defects (e.g., flash, short shots, warping, or sink marks).
• Defect Logging: Maintain physical and digital shift logs tracking production volumes, cycle times, reject counts, and downtime causes.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure all output meets company quality benchmarks and customer safety standards.

Equipment Maintenance & Workplace Safety

• Routine Servicing: Perform daily cleaning, mold lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance on machines and auxiliary tools.
• Troubleshooting: Identify minor mechanical or operational glitches promptly and coordinate with technicians to minimize downtime.
• Safety Protocols: Maintain a clean, organized workstation adhering to 5S safety guidelines and internal factory policies.

Requirements

• Education: Minimum OND, NABTEB, Trade Test, or SSCE in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: At least 2+ years of hands-on experience operating injection molding machines, preferably within a plastics or polymer manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of injection molding processes, mold mounting, machine controls, and plastic resin properties.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, physical stamina, and the ability to work responsibly within a close-knit production team with total discretion.
