Marine Engineer at Sellafield Energy Resources Limited – Lagos
Sellafield Energy Resources Limited seeks a Marine Engineer in Lagos to support vessel readiness, machinery maintenance and marine operations for offshore oil and gas activities.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain vessel engines, propulsion, generators, pumps and auxiliary systems.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and carry out planned maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor machinery performance and document maintenance, inspections, defects and safety concerns.
- Support vessel mobilisation, offshore readiness and marine engineering operations.
- Coordinate with vessel crews, contractors, shore-based colleagues and suppliers.
- Control spare parts and technical supplies; follow marine, environmental and offshore HSE requirements.
- Participate in safety drills, risk assessments and incident reviews.
Requirements
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Marine Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant marine engineering licence or certification appropriate to the position and vessel type.
- Experience maintaining marine engines and auxiliary systems; offshore oil and gas experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of planned maintenance, machinery diagnostics, safety and technical drawings.
- Strong communication, documentation, fault-finding and readiness for offshore rotational assignments.
