Operation Engineer (Offshore Platform and Hull & Facilities – FLNG) via Talent Recruitment 360 – Lagos
An undisclosed oil and gas employer is recruiting a contract Operation Engineer for offshore platform and FLNG hull and facilities assignments in Lagos through Talent Recruitment 360.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for daily offshore facility operations, production systems, and utilities.
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and review operating procedures, operating philosophies, and maintenance strategies.
- Participate in risk assessments, management of change, incident investigations, and process safety reviews.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, marine, and maintenance teams.
- Support operational readiness, commissioning, start-up, and handover activities.
- Analyse operating data and recommend corrective actions for performance deviations.
- Support shutdown planning, turnaround activities, and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and applicable operational requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, Marine, or another relevant Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant operations engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience in offshore platforms, production facilities, LNG/FLNG, FPSO, or similar installations.
- Knowledge of hydrocarbon production systems, utilities, process safety, and facility operations.
- Familiarity with operational readiness, permit-to-work systems, and management of change.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
- Provide engineering support for daily offshore facility operations, production systems, and utilities.
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and review operating procedures, operating philosophies, and maintenance strategies.
