Toddler & Nursery Class Teacher at an Undisclosed Company via Jobtion Consulting – Lekki/Ajah

A school recruiting through Jobtion Consulting needs a Toddler & Nursery Class Teacher for its early-years programme in the Lekki–Ajah area of Lagos.

Reports to: Supervisor, Early Years / Deputy Head Teacher.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engaging, play-based lessons covering EYFS communication, social development, movement, literacy, mathematics and creative learning.
• Introduce age-appropriate phonics, counting, rhymes, stories and activities while meeting toddlers’ individual care needs.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic and stimulating classroom for mixed toddler and nursery groups.
• Observe developmental milestones, document progress and raise learning or behavioural concerns appropriately.
• Keep parents informed and coordinate with classroom assistants and early-years colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety policies and participate in school development activities.

Requirements

• NCE or B.Ed in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education.
• Three to four years’ experience teaching combined toddler and nursery groups in a school or crèche.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS; familiarity with Montessori teaching is an advantage.
• Patience, creativity, energy, communication skills and genuine interest in young children’s development.
• Applicants must reside in Lagos.
