Karisa Consults Limited is recruiting an Accounting Officer in Abuja to maintain financial records, manage transactions, prepare statements and support budgets, reporting and controls. The position requires four years’ experience in inventory or production accounting.

Overview

• An Accounting Officer is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of an organization’s financial data.
• The role supports budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and internal controls, ensuring smooth financial operations and reliable information for decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records (sales, purchases, receipts, payments).
• Process accounts payable and receivable, validate invoices, issue payments, and record receipts.
• Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes.
• Assist with audits, provide documentation, and implement audit adjustments.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, GAAP/IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Handle payroll entries, petty cash, and inter‑company transactions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years working experience in inventory / production accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines .
