An undisclosed oil exploration and production company is recruiting a full-time Assistant Driller (Handling) for its offshore drilling operations in Nigeria. The position calls for practical offshore experience, valid industry certification and reliable teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Handle drilling tools and tubulars on the rig floor, including during drill-string assembly and disassembly.
- Support the making up and breaking down of risers and other drilling systems.
- Assist the Driller in rig-floor operations and promote safe handling of equipment.
Requirements
- Experience working in offshore drilling operations relevant to the position.
- Valid certifications appropriate to the duties of the position.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork and operational excellence.
- Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced offshore environment.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel.
