Assistant Maintenance Engineer at EMR Mining – Ibadan, Oyo
EMR Mining is recruiting an Assistant Maintenance Engineer for its quarry operations in Ibadan, Oyo State. The role supports machinery reliability and reports to the Lead Maintenance Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of quarry equipment.
- Inspect machinery, diagnose faults and support breakdown repairs.
- Monitor equipment performance, availability and downtime.
- Coordinate spare-parts needs and maintain accurate technical records.
- Support work planning, maintenance schedules and supervision of maintenance staff.
- Apply HSE policies and safe working procedures.
- Identify repeated faults and recommend measures to improve reliability and reduce costs.
Requirements
- BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least three years of relevant post-NYSC maintenance experience.
- Hands-on equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis and preventive maintenance capability.
- Experience in quarrying, mining, manufacturing, construction or other equipment-intensive work is an advantage.
- Knowledge of HSE principles and regulations.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
