Mining Engineer at EMR Mining – Ibadan, Oyo
EMR Mining is recruiting a Mining Engineer in Ibadan, Oyo State, to plan, supervise and improve quarry operations while meeting safety, production and regulatory requirements. The position reports to the Lead Mining Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily drilling, blasting, excavation, loading and haulage activities at the quarry.
- Develop mine production plans and schedules and monitor equipment use, output and material recovery.
- Ensure compliance with mining laws, environmental obligations and health, safety and environmental standards.
- Coordinate maintenance work, contractors and operational teams.
- Prepare accurate production, operational and safety reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- Three to five years’ experience in mining or quarry work, including required open-pit quarry experience.
- Knowledge of drilling, blasting, mine planning and HSE compliance.
- Mining software and AutoCAD skills are advantages.
- COREN certification or Nigerian Society of Engineers membership is an advantage.
- Leadership, analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
