The Place (Smackers Limited) is recruiting a Chef / Caterer in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for food development and local restaurant operations. The employer seeks someone with experience cooking in a buka or established restaurant and knowledge of locally preferred dishes.
Responsibilities
- Create and refine recipes that meet local customer tastes.
- Trial new regional dishes and help introduce successful products into the menu.
- Train cooks and supervisors on newly introduced meals.
- Research local markets, ingredient availability and competing food offerings.
- Source ingredients, monitor preparation quality and assess product standards at the branch.
- Collect data and evaluate the performance of menu items.
Requirements
- SSCE, OND or HND qualification.
- Practical cooking, catering or chef experience in a restaurant or buka.
- Understanding of regional cuisines and sourcing food through local markets.
- Residence in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
