Tax Executive at Proten International – Rivers State
Proten International is recruiting a Tax Executive in Rivers State to manage statutory tax reporting, compliance, risk and planning.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate timely filing and remittance of company income tax, VAT, withholding tax, PAYE, education tax and other applicable obligations.
- Monitor compliance with federal and state revenue regulations and changes in tax legislation.
- Support tax planning, accounting provisions, financial statement disclosures and advice on commercial transactions.
- Manage tax records, audit queries, tax controls and risks, including expatriate and intercompany matters.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and automate tax-compliance work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- ICAN or ACCA certification.
- Three to five years’ tax experience, preferably in a large or multinational organisation.
- Sound understanding of Nigerian tax laws, FIRS processes and ERP systems, ideally Oracle Fusion.
- Analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills; oil and gas, manufacturing, free-zone or cross-border tax exposure is an advantage.
