Position Title: Chief Operating Officer.

Job Station: Lagos State.

INTRODUCTION:-

Chief Operating Officer job opportunity is available at a Reputable Construction Company for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-

  • The COO will oversee the organization’s ongoing operations and procedures and will be responsible for the strategy of the business and Business Development.
  • The COO role is a key member of the Executive management team – will maintain control of diverse business operations and has to be an experienced and efficient leader with excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethic.

Business Development:

  • Provide leadership to the diverse teams of associates in driving client acquisition, building healthy loan portfolios and ensuring compliance with KYC and SCUML requirements
  • Create preventive measures to ensure all client-related issues are promptly identified and resolved
  • Build a pipeline to ensure a steady deal flow, based on data driven assessment of target sectors
  • Lead internal debt recovery efforts as required from time to time and provide the required support for services providers engaged to recover such debts (bad or delinquent)
  • Develop an architecture for digital sales and marketing
  • Provide the required leadership to meet customer needs
  • Develop strategies with a view of leading the organization to its mid and long term goals and profitability.

Operations Efficiency:

  • Oversee all business and financial operations, including P&L management, loan origination, disbursement, collection, including the preparation of required periodic reports on disbursement, repayment and loan performance
  • Design, implement and manage a cohesive financial and operational strategy and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage all strategic business operations including the development and adoption of best practices and policies and procedures
  • Oversee internal and outsourced accounting, finance, compliance, legal functions and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Oversee all information security processes
  • Works with relevant teams to develop various tech framework and platforms necessary to drive retail lending

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Investment or a related discipline
  • MBA and / or equivalent will be an added advantage
  • 5 – 10 years Fintech/MFB/banking operations experience
  • Ability to understand and execute strategy
  • Demonstrated team management experience
  • Demonstrated budget management and financial forecasting experience
  • Knowledge of product commercialization and revenue management
  • Previous experience with a startup is an added advantage
  • Passionate and with Entrepreneurial acumen.
