Construction Lab Technician at Craneburg Construction – Oyo State
Craneburg Construction Company is recruiting a full-time Construction Lab Technician in Oyo State to test construction materials and help maintain project quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory and field tests on soil, concrete, aggregates, asphalt and other materials.
- Perform soil compaction, slump, concrete-sampling and related field tests.
- Collect, prepare and test samples using approved procedures and standards.
- Record results, maintain test registers and produce laboratory reports.
- Identify material nonconformities and report them to the Quality Control Engineer.
- Calibrate, operate and maintain testing equipment.
- Follow project quality specifications and site-safety procedures.
- Work with site engineers and the QA/QC team to resolve material-quality problems.
Requirements
- OND, HND or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Laboratory Technology or a related discipline.
- Two to five years’ relevant construction materials testing experience.
- Working knowledge of soil, concrete, aggregate and asphalt testing.
- Familiarity with ASTM, BS or comparable construction testing standards.
- Technical reporting skills, accurate records and close attention to quality and safety.
