Corporate Affairs and Community Relations Officer at an Undisclosed Company via Sisa Method Limited – Abuja

An undisclosed company developing the Ajaokuta Mini Project is recruiting a full-time Corporate Affairs and Community Relations Officer in Abuja through Sisa Method Limited. The position strengthens the project’s reputation and community relationships during construction, equipment movements, installation and commissioning.

Communications and community engagement

• Maintain the project communications plan and ensure public statements reflect verified developments.
• Map relevant stakeholders and implement an engagement calendar for host communities, traditional rulers, youth and women’s groups, and local government representatives.
• Establish and operate a documented grievance process, including confidential reporting, investigation, response and closure.
• Coordinate advance information and briefings on abnormal-load equipment movements with logistics, HSE teams and public authorities.
• Support transparent communications about local recruitment and opportunities for suppliers.
• Coordinate community development and corporate social responsibility proposals within approved policies and budgets.
• Maintain stakeholder, grievance, commitments and media records, and prepare monthly engagement reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Social Sciences or a related field.
• At least five years’ experience in corporate communications or community relations in energy, construction or infrastructure.
• Experience handling grievances and working with host communities, traditional institutions and government stakeholders.
• Strong written and spoken communication in English; communication in relevant local languages is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Kogi State and the Ajaokuta area is desirable.
• Cultural sensitivity, discretion, sound judgement and clear, evidence-based reporting.
