Responsibilities

• The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of corporate, product and service brand management efforts, image and reputation management programs geared at creating adequate levels of awareness for the brand, and the value proposition of the various products and services provided by each entity within the Group.
• The Corporate Communications Manager will support the COO’s efforts towards defining/updating the Vision for Corporate Communications and for ensuring continued alignment with the overall Group Vision, strategic direction and imperatives facing each business.
• The incumbent will develop corporate communications plans and program, budgets related to the area of responsibility and ensure all resource requirements are based on periodic business plans and are justified vis-a-vis revenues and growth estimates.

Experience and qualifications

• First Degree in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Administration, etc. or other related fields
• 5 – 6 years of operational experience (Corporate / External Affairs, Media and / or Advertising) within a reputable and structured business environment preferably within the Real Estate sector
• Strong exposure to reputation and events management
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and teams, and develop strong connections with stakeholders

Candidates to Possess:

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives across many different business units. The ability to get meaningful participation and support from different resources and other business units will be critical to success.
• Well-developed conceptual, critical, and analytical thinking with the ability to convey complex information in a straightforward, interesting way, and influencing this to a wider audience.
• Capacity to enforce accountability, develop and empower high-quality leaders from the bottom up, lead from the top down, and learn the strengths and weaknesses of the team to put people in a position to succeed
• Developed business acumen, with a pragmatic approach to solving problems and implementing solutions.
• Knowledge of Nigeria in terms of its political, economic and social trends.
