Electrical Sales Engineer at an Undisclosed Company (via Worknigeria) – Lagos

Worknigeria is recruiting a full-time Electrical Sales Engineer for an undisclosed client based in Lagos. Reporting to the Head of Department, the role drives business development and sales of low-voltage electrical power distribution equipment and solutions across Nigerian industrial, commercial, construction and infrastructure markets.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customers and project sites to generate business leads and identify new electrical projects.
• Promote low-voltage wiring devices, switchgear, panels, circuit breakers, protection devices and electrical enclosures.
• Assess technical needs and recommend suitable power distribution, automation and control products.
• Build relationships with electrical contractors, factories, consultants, panel builders, property developers and distributors.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations, negotiate terms and convert enquiries into orders.
• Follow deliveries, payment collection and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor competitors, prices and market opportunities, and maintain sales forecasts and pipeline records.
• Coordinate with engineering, tendering, purchasing, logistics and finance teams to support order delivery.

Qualifications and experience

• A B.Sc. or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• A minimum of five years of relevant sales experience in electrical power products or solutions in Nigeria.
• Solid technical knowledge of low-voltage distribution products and systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturers such as ABB, Schneider Electric, Siemens, CHINT or Legrand, or equivalent products.
• Demonstrated lead generation, relationship management, negotiation and target delivery.
• Strong reporting, presentation, Microsoft Office and CRM skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently for customer and project visits.
• Knowledge of automation and control systems and a valid driving licence are advantages.
