Engineering – Facilities Lead I at ABNL Limited – QIT, Akwa Ibom
ABNL Limited is recruiting an Engineering – Facilities Lead I for a contract position at QIT, Akwa Ibom State. The role coordinates discipline engineering activities and reviews contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with company standards, technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate discipline engineering technical work and facilitate effective design routines.
- Maintain clear communication on technical progress, design concerns, safety and regulatory issues between internal teams and contractors.
- Review engineering drawings, documents and other contractor or subcontractor outputs against applicable specifications and standards.
- Identify and assess deviations from contract technical specifications or regulations, and maintain the deviation control log.
- Manage engineering queries and requests for technical information from contractors and subcontractors.
- Report engineering progress, deviations and execution risks to the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager.
- Participate in technical engineering reviews at contractor and subcontractor locations.
- Promote capital efficiency in design and contribute to internal engineering or global practice initiatives as requested.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, another relevant engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering design standards, specifications, codes and safety criteria.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, heavy workloads, change and tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent spoken and written English for technical and business communication, with strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
