Experienced Audit Staff at Nexia Nigeria – Abuja and Lagos (2 Openings)

Nexia Nigeria is recruiting two full-time Experienced Audit Staff for positions in Abuja and Lagos. The role focuses on external audits, financial reporting, internal control reviews and professional client service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out audit engagements in line with applicable auditing standards, professional guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Review financial statements for compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and statutory rules.
• Assess internal controls, identify financial and operational risks and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and review audit workpapers, reports and management letters.
• Check compliance with Nigerian requirements, including CAMA 2020 and relevant Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria regulations.
• Work closely with audit teams and clients to complete assignments accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Relevant external audit experience, preferably with an accounting or professional services firm.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS, International Standards on Auditing and Nigerian audit regulations.
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting or audit applications.
• ACA, ACCA or a comparable professional qualification is an advantage.
