Factory Manager at Vixa Healthcare – Ibafo

Vixa Healthcare is recruiting a full-time Factory Manager in Ibafo, Ogun State, to lead pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturing, quality, engineering, warehousing and health and safety operations.

Strategic and production leadership

• Own the factory operating plan, production targets, profit and loss, annual budget and coordination of raw materials through finished goods.
• Approve production schedules and improve labour, machine and material utilisation through Lean methods and continuous improvement.
• Represent factory operations at management meetings and regulatory inspections.

Regulatory compliance, engineering and supply chain

• Maintain cGMP compliance, audit readiness and quality systems covering deviations, corrective actions, change control, validation and stability.
• Coordinate readiness for NAFDAC, Pharmacists Council of Nigeria, Standards Organisation of Nigeria and other relevant audits, with a target of zero critical findings.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, equipment investment and utility reliability for power, water, HVAC and other services.
• Manage raw materials, warehouses, finished goods, replenishment, stock accuracy, cost controls, yields and waste.
• Supervise department heads, workforce planning, succession planning, safety and a disciplined operational culture.

Qualifications and experience

• B.Pharm, MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology, or a relevant BEng degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Chemistry.
• At least six years’ experience in manufacturing, including three or more years as Production Manager or Factory Manager.
• Registration as a pharmacist, or for engineering candidates strong regulatory knowledge and proven NAFDAC audit experience.
• Experience managing a multi-product operation producing tablets, liquids, creams and cosmetics.
• Familiarity with ERP or SAP, cGMP, ISO 9001, Lean manufacturing and factory quality systems.
• Strong executive-level communication, leadership, crisis management and decision-making; MBA is an advantage.
