Female Housekeeper at a Hotel via Domeo Resources – Abuja

Domeo Resources International is recruiting a full-time Female Housekeeper for a hotel in Abuja. The position focuses on guest-room cleanliness, sanitation, presentation, service and the protection of guest privacy.

Guest rooms and housekeeping

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and assigned hotel areas to the hotel’s checklist and schedule.
• Make beds, change linen and towels, replenish guest amenities and check room presentation before release.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, polish and disinfect surfaces using suitable techniques and cleaning materials.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for cleaning, towels, toiletries or other housekeeping assistance.
• Support periodic deep cleaning and keep trolleys, cupboards and working areas organised.

Hygiene, safety and property care

• Disinfect bathroom facilities, follow hygiene procedures and use colour-coded equipment where required.
• Use chemicals and equipment safely, wear required protective equipment and display warnings for wet floors or hazards.
• Respect guest privacy, knock before entering rooms and maintain confidentiality about guests and their belongings.
• Hand over lost property immediately under the hotel’s lost-and-found process; record items correctly and never remove hotel property without approval.
• Monitor linen and supplies, report shortages or damage and avoid waste.
• Report faults involving air conditioning, lighting, plumbing, locks, furnishings and other facilities; do not attempt unauthorised repairs.

Teamwork and performance

• Attend briefings, training and handovers; cooperate with Front Office, Laundry, Maintenance, Security and colleagues.
• Complete checklists accurately, report completed rooms and escalate complaints, hazards and unusual observations.
• Maintain personal hygiene, punctuality, professional appearance and conduct in line with hotel standards.
• Meet room-completion, cleanliness, guest-service and safety expectations while following duty rosters and management instructions.

Qualifications and skills

• At least SSCE/WAEC or equivalent; additional hospitality training is an advantage.
• Previous cleaning or hotel-housekeeping experience is beneficial, although suitable applicants may be trained.
• Ability to read instructions, follow checklists, communicate clearly and carry out routine cleaning duties safely.
• Attention to detail, honesty, discretion, teamwork, time management and willingness to learn.
• Availability for scheduled shifts, weekends and public holidays.
