Gas Development & Infrastructure Professional at WAEP – Lagos

West African Exploration and Production Company (WAEP) is recruiting a full-time Gas Development & Infrastructure Professional in Lagos to coordinate technically sound, commercially viable and safe gas infrastructure projects from concept to delivery.

Department: Engineering & Projects. Reports to: Head, Engineering & Projects / Project Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape gas development options, infrastructure strategies and project execution plans in line with asset and commercial requirements.
• Direct feasibility work, concept selection and pre-FEED/FEED engineering for gathering systems, processing, compression, pipelines and export facilities.
• Bring together subsurface, facilities, production, commercial, regulatory and project considerations.
• Define design bases, scope, technical specifications, cost estimates, schedules and contracting strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, engineering contractors, consultants, suppliers and technical reviews.
• Identify and mitigate technical, cost, schedule, constructability and operability risks.
• Provide technical support for procurement, tenders, bid assessments and contractor performance.
• Maintain adherence to engineering standards, HSE requirements, regulations and Nigerian Content obligations.
• Support commissioning, start-up, operational handover and project closure.
• Report progress, spending, risks, milestones and key decisions to management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, Civil or a related engineering discipline.
• 10–15 years’ relevant project or facilities experience in oil and gas, with substantial exposure to gas infrastructure.
• Professional engineering registration and project management certification are strongly preferred.
