Group Product Developer at Velvot Nigeria Limited – Surulere, Lagos State

Velvot Nigeria Limited is recruiting a Group Product Developer in Surulere, Lagos. This mid-level role sits within Group Strategy and Product Development and reports to the General Manager, with strategic direction from the CEO.

Product development and strategy

• Research customer needs, competitor products, industry developments and new technology opportunities to shape the Group’s product portfolio.
• Translate market opportunities into product concepts, requirements, specifications, value propositions and prioritised roadmaps.
• Coordinate feasibility reviews, design, testing, deployment, product launches and ongoing enhancements across the Group’s business units.
• Develop business cases assessing market size, target users, development costs, revenue potential, risks and expected returns.
• Recommend new offerings, service bundles, integrations, partnerships, repositioning and discontinuation where commercially justified.

Portfolio management and collaboration

• Maintain product inventories, roadmaps, pricing inputs, requirements, documentation and performance records.
• Work across Technical, Sales, Business Growth and Acquisition, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success and Support to deliver marketable solutions.
• Coordinate stakeholder feedback, commercial positioning, training, demonstrations, proposals, packaging and go-to-market plans.
• Track product adoption, revenue, customer satisfaction, profitability, milestones, dependencies and approved budgets.
• Set product governance, documentation, testing and approval standards, working with legal, compliance and security stakeholders on applicable obligations.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Economics, Product Management or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in product development, product management, strategy, business analysis or innovation.
• Practical experience with product launches, market and competitor analysis, feasibility studies, cross-functional coordination, business cases and product roadmaps.
• Technology, ICT, cloud services, digital solutions or multi-business experience is an advantage.
• Certification in product management, business analysis, project management or digital transformation is an added advantage.

Remuneration and benefits

• Monthly salary of ₦350,000.
• 13th-month payment, HMO, group life insurance, 10% employer pension contribution and 20 days of annual leave.
