Experienced Software Developer at Smartrecruitmentnow – Lagos

Smartrecruitmentnow is recruiting an Experienced Software Developer for a strictly on-site, full-time role in Lagos. The position requires hands-on responsibility for front-end and back-end systems, live websites and applications, and independent technical delivery. Immediate resumption is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve live websites and web applications across frontend and backend systems.
• Design, build and integrate APIs, third-party services, databases and server-side technologies.
• Diagnose production defects and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision.
• Improve application speed, functionality, usability and security, following sound coding practices.
• Manage application deployment, updates and hosting or server-related tasks.
• Translate business needs into practical solutions and keep project documentation and progress reports up to date.

Requirements

• At least five years’ professional software development experience, including building, launching and maintaining live production applications.
• Strong frontend and backend development skills, with experience in databases, APIs and application architecture.
• Working knowledge of Git, GitHub, hosting, deployment and server management.
• Independent problem-solving, resourcefulness, creativity, attention to detail and ownership of assigned work.
• Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate personal contributions to production projects.
• Willingness to commute to the office daily; applicants based around Shangisha, CMD Road, Magodo, Isheri, Ojodu and nearby areas are preferred.

Work arrangement

Full-time, strictly on site in Lagos. Remote working is not offered for this role.
