HSE Audits & Training Engineer at Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited – Lagos

Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is recruiting an HSE Audits & Training Engineer in Lagos to support safety training, audits, reporting and improvements across operations.

HSE training and contracts

• Support the preparation, tracking and implementation of the DWD/Lagos mandatory HSE training budget.
• Review contractor invoices, prepare training contracts with the contracts and purchasing team and take part in cross-functional evaluations.
• Review training-provider capabilities and manage approved training contracts.
• Maintain identified training gaps and plans in Lizzy, liaise with the head-office training team and coordinate training logistics and completion through HSEPass.
• Monitor personnel registration, including e-learning, report training information to HR and carry out annual gap reviews.
• Review feedback and suggest improvements to HSE training processes.

Procurement and documentation

• Use UNISUP SAP and ARIBA for purchasing, contractor management and procurement documentation.
• Raise service and material requests, purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Produce service entry sheets and job-completion documents for finished work.

Audits, inspections and reporting

• Conduct HSE evaluations and site inspections for medium- and high-risk cross-functional tenders.
• Support daily and weekly HSE reports and weekly business reviews.
• Maintain valid certification for DWD auditors and contribute to annual HSE audit planning.
• Document findings and corrective actions in Synergi and follow through to closure.
• Support asset integration and start-up activities, plus preparations for OPERSAFE, MAESTRO and other external audits.
• Maintain accurate training and audit records, observe applicable statutory requirements and uphold the company’s HSEQ policy.

Qualifications and experience

• BSc or HND in Engineering or the Sciences.
• At least five years’ HSE experience, including operational exposure in oil and gas.
• Understanding of HSE training, incident and anomaly reporting procedures.
• Competence with office software, databases and Synergi.
• Fluent English, sound communication, investigative, reporting, auditing and problem-solving skills.
