HVAC Technician (DX – Direct Expansion) at Ascentech Services Limited – Victoria Island
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking an HVAC Technician with practical experience of direct expansion (DX) air-conditioning systems in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain and repair split, cassette and ducted air-conditioning systems.
- Carry out preventive servicing and routine unit cleaning.
- Identify cooling, electrical, control and refrigeration faults and undertake repairs.
- Measure and record pressure, voltage, current and temperature readings.
- Handle refrigerant charging, recovery, leak detection, evacuation and pressure testing.
- Install and braze copper pipework; replace compressors, motors, PCBs, sensors and capacitors.
- Inspect and repair condensate drains and associated components.
Requirements
- Technical qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or a related discipline.
- Two to three years’ hands-on experience with DX systems in commercial, residential or facility environments.
- Practical knowledge of refrigeration and electrical principles, fault-finding and troubleshooting.
- Ability to use gauges, multimeters, clamp meters and relevant HVAC equipment.
- Experience of brazing, vacuuming, refrigerant recovery and leak testing.
Salary
₦250,000–₦300,000 per month.
