Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer (Hull & Facilities – FLNG) via Talent Recruitment 360 – Lagos

An undisclosed employer is recruiting an Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer for a contract FLNG hull and facilities assignment in Lagos through Talent Recruitment 360. The role involves control-system integration, instrument engineering and commissioning support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review instrument datasheets, instrument indexes, control philosophies, and technical specifications.
• Support the design and integration of DCS, PLC, and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
• Review P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, and control system architecture.
• Coordinate instrumentation interfaces with process, electrical, mechanical, marine, and telecommunications systems.
• Participate in HAZOP, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments, and alarm reviews.
• Review vendor proposals and control system package documentation.
• Support factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, loop checks, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation failures and system integration issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IEC, ISA, and project-specific standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Electronic, or another relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant instrumentation and control engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience with DCS, PLC, SIS, field instrumentation, control valves, and automation systems.
• Knowledge of IEC 61511, IEC 61508, and applicable instrumentation standards.
• Experience with LNG/FLNG, FPSO, or offshore facilities is an advantage.
• Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting, and coordination skills.
