Chief Operating Officer (Engineering Consultancy) via Michael Stevens – Lagos

An engineering consultancy with projects in infrastructure, industry and capital development is recruiting a Chief Operating Officer in Lagos through Michael Stevens Consulting. The executive will lead the firm’s operations, profitability and growth.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for firm profitability, project delivery and P&L management.
• Improve delivery processes, resource allocation, quality assurance, financial controls and governance.
• Lead strategic planning, operational expansion and technical capability development.
• Build senior client and partner relationships and lead pursuit of major tenders.
• Guide commercial proposals, market development and business growth.
• Lead multidisciplinary management teams and promote strong performance and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical or another relevant Engineering discipline.
• COREN registration and appropriate professional memberships.
• More than 20 years of progressive experience, including eight to ten years at senior executive level in engineering consulting, infrastructure or major construction.
• Strong expertise in P&L management, business development and executive stakeholder relations.
• MBA or an advanced management degree is desirable.
