Internal Audit Manager via Consulting DCC (Undisclosed Company) – Ikeja, Lagos

An undisclosed employer is recruiting a full-time Internal Audit Manager in Ikeja, Lagos, through Consulting DCC. The manager will lead risk-based audits across business units, assess controls and compliance, investigate irregularities and recommend operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement risk-based audit plans, programmes and review schedules.
• Direct and coordinate audit assignments across departments, outlets, warehouses and production facilities.
• Examine financial transactions, sales records, procurement, inventory movements and operational activities.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Investigate potential fraud, financial irregularities, inventory discrepancies and unauthorised transactions.
• Oversee stock counts, asset checks and financial reconciliations.
• Produce clear audit reports covering findings, risks, weaknesses and recommended corrective action.
• Monitor the implementation of recommendations and follow up on earlier audit observations.
• Supervise and develop audit staff to maintain effective performance.
• Partner with managers and departments to improve accountability and reduce financial losses.
• Identify inefficiencies, waste and potential revenue leakage, and recommend preventive measures.
• Present significant findings and proposed improvements to senior management.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Five to eight years of relevant audit experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• ICAN, ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification would be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of internal audit, enterprise risks, fraud detection and control processes.
• Experience with financial audits, stock control, operational reviews and compliance checks.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting or audit management software.
• Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Effective leadership and communication skills.
• High standards of integrity, independence, accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary

₦600,000–₦650,000 per month.
