Jewellery Sales Specialist at Custom Gifts & Designs Limited – Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Custom Gifts & Designs Limited is recruiting a full-time Jewellery Sales Specialist for its Lekki Phase 1 operation. The role combines jewellery product knowledge, accurate valuation and pricing with customer service and retail sales.
Key responsibilities
- Advise customers on jewellery options, quality, value and suitability for their needs and budgets.
- Present jewellery effectively and explain craftsmanship, gemstones, weight and gold purity.
- Assess gold purity, including 18K, 21K and 22K, and measure items accurately.
- Carry out jewellery valuation, product costing and pricing.
- Manage customer enquiries, negotiations, sales transactions and follow-ups.
- Maintain inventory, stock records, tags, documentation, displays and jewellery security.
- Build customer relationships and work towards sales targets.
Requirements
- Two to five years of experience in jewellery sales, luxury-goods retail or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of gold jewellery, purity standards and accurate weighing.
- Practical expertise in jewellery pricing, valuation and product costing.
- Ability to recognise gemstones and distinguish jewellery categories.
- Understanding of stock management and retail sales procedures.
- Excellent numeracy, attention to detail, communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience using jewellery stock or point-of-sale software is an advantage.
