Legal Officer at Carmelite Prisoners’ Interest Organization (CAPIO) – Enugu
CAPIO is seeking a Legal Officer in Enugu with active courtroom experience and a commitment to criminal justice, human rights and access to justice.
Role requirements
- Two to three years’ post-call experience following admission to the Nigerian Bar.
- Current active legal practice with significant courtroom and trial experience.
- Practical understanding of Nigerian criminal justice processes.
- Commitment to CAPIO’s mission and willingness to support additional programme responsibilities.
Professional competencies
- Sound legal drafting ability and professional ethics.
- Clear written and verbal communication, integrity and good judgement.
- Ability to work both independently and with colleagues.
