Machinist via Fort Knox Outsourcing – Cross River State

A manufacturing employer in Cross River State is seeking a Machinist to operate production machinery and inspect finished components.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and other relevant machining equipment.
• Machine components to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, measurements, and technical specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including vernier calipers and micrometers, to verify finished components.
• Inspect completed components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of assigned machines and tools.
• Comply with factory Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures and operating standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Report equipment faults, material issues, defects, and safety concerns promptly.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE, OND, or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Machining, or a related technical discipline.
• Practical experience operating machining equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of precision measurement tools and machining tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
