Maintenance Manager at an Undisclosed Agribusiness via Refine Concepts – Mowe, Ogun

An agribusiness, commodity-processing and international trading company is recruiting a full-time Maintenance Manager in Mowe, Ogun State. The position oversees plant maintenance, equipment reliability and downtime reduction in support of efficient production.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations and keep the plant’s overall breakdown level below 5%.
• Maintain preventive-maintenance compliance above 95% through effective planning, scheduling and execution.
• Monitor and control energy, fuel and water consumption against the plant’s operating standards.
• Inspect equipment daily, prioritise maintenance needs and ensure faults are resolved promptly.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance and emergency breakdown responses.
• Track recurring equipment faults, downtime and outstanding maintenance work, maintaining accurate records.
• Manage critical spare parts, maintenance documentation, equipment repairs and vendor follow-ups.
• Plan and lead maintenance projects with effective use of resources and on-time delivery.
• Assign daily tasks, allocate manpower and supervise maintenance technicians and other technical personnel.
• Train and develop maintenance technicians to improve performance and technical competence.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, shutdowns and handovers with the Production Department.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental requirements and stop unsafe equipment or activities.
• Prepare regular reports covering breakdowns, preventive-maintenance status, downtime, pending work and daily energy consumption.
• Raise requests for spare parts, repairs and other maintenance needs through the appropriate approval process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least six years of relevant plant or industrial maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience managing plant maintenance, breakdown response and preventive-maintenance programmes.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and industrial plant equipment maintenance.
• Maintenance planning, spare-parts management, equipment troubleshooting and vendor-coordination experience.
• Understanding of energy management, fuel consumption and utility cost control.
• Proven ability to lead, supervise and develop a maintenance team.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and project-management capabilities.
• Good understanding of occupational health and safety standards.
• Excellent reporting, communication and coordination skills.

Salary

₦500,000–₦600,000 per month.
