Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to prepare high-quality Nigerian and intercontinental dishes, pastries, and specialised dietary meals for a private household.
• The ideal candidate must maintain excellent food quality, hygiene, and presentation while meeting the household’s dietary needs and working a demanding schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Nigerian and intercontinental dishes, pastries, snacks, and desserts.
• Plan menus and prepare healthy meals based on dietary requirements.
• Manage grocery shopping, kitchen supplies, and food inventory.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and presentation.
• Minimise food waste and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
• Accommodate special meal requests and prepare food for guests and events.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and handle household-related responsibilities professionally.
• Respect the employer’s privacy and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef in a private household, restaurant, or hospitality establishment.
• Strong skills in Nigerian and intercontinental cuisines, pastry-making, and baking.
• Experience preparing specialised dietary and healthy meals.
• Knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and inventory management.
• Excellent organisation, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain consistent food quality.
• Willingness to work in a live-in arrangement in Lekki Phase 1.
• Relevant culinary training or certification is an added advantage.

Work Schedule

• Daily, 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM, with possible additional hours depending on household needs and engagements. Candidates should be prepared to discuss rest periods and days off.

• They must be reliable, discreet, adaptable, and capable of managing kitchen responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Remuneration and benefits

Monthly salary is ₦200,000, with accommodation and HMO benefits. The role is live-in, with daily working hours of 7:00 AM–9:00 PM and possible additional hours; rest periods and days off should be discussed with the employer.
