Payment Officer (Teller) at M-P Infrastructures Limited – Lekki

M-P Infrastructures Limited is seeking a Payment Officer (Teller) for its Finance and Accounts Department in Lekki, Lagos. The position supports authorised payments, financial records, reconciliation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Check payment requests and supporting records for correct approval before processing.
• Prepare and process approved payments to staff, suppliers and other beneficiaries, verifying bank details and amounts.
• Prepare payment schedules and instructions for approved banking systems, then track pending or failed transactions.
• Maintain payment registers, invoices, vouchers, confirmations and other audit-ready records.
• Reconcile transactions with bank statements and internal accounts, escalating discrepancies or unauthorised activity.
• Prepare transaction summaries and support finance reports and routine departmental administration.
• Comply with financial controls, confidentiality requirements and separation of payment preparation from final authorisation.

Requirements

• A BSc, BEng or HND in Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering.
• Strong numerical ability, Excel proficiency and careful financial recordkeeping.
• Integrity, discretion, organisation and clear written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of payment processing, accounts payable, banking, cashiering or reconciliation is an advantage.
• ICAN students or candidates pursuing the qualification, and applicants familiar with ERP or accounting software, have an advantage.
• Qualified entry-level applicants who meet the educational requirements may apply.
