Mortgage Business Development & Operations Manager at a Mortgage & Housing Finance Business via Martinabrahamspeaks – Lagos, Lagos State

A mortgage and housing-finance business is recruiting a Mortgage Business Development & Operations Manager in Lagos through Martinabrahamspeaks. The manager will grow partnerships, coordinate member services and oversee mortgage-readiness operations.

Commercial development

• Execute business-growth plans and cultivate partnerships with banks, mortgage institutions, developers, insurers, valuers and property-market stakeholders.
• Lead business meetings, presentations, negotiations and partner relationship management.
• Manage member acquisition, onboarding, engagement and retention.

Mortgage operations

• Coordinate checks of applicants’ income, savings, employment, affordability, credit and supporting records.
• Work with lenders on referrals, prequalification, applications, loan origination and payments.
• Manage property sourcing and due diligence, including title, approvals, valuations and development status.
• Provide member communications and financial education to improve mortgage readiness.
• Protect member information and funds, oversee operational controls, track performance and lead the team.
• Report on business development, partnerships, member enrolment and mortgage processing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Economics, Estate Management or a related field.
• Five to seven years’ experience in mortgage banking, housing finance, lending, mortgage origination, real-estate finance or property development.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian mortgage processes, borrower eligibility and affordability assessment.
• Proven ability to manage banking and property partnerships, commercial targets, customer onboarding and operational teams.
• Excellent negotiation, analysis, presentation and leadership skills; fintech or digital customer-platform exposure is an advantage.
