Senior E&I Technician at Beam Energy Limited – Ikeja, Lagos
Beam Energy Limited is recruiting a Senior Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician in Ikeja, Lagos, to support project engineering, installation, testing and technical coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with operations teams, installation subcontractors, clients and design engineers to resolve E&I construction issues.
- Review engineering deliverables before client submission and contribute to project technical meetings.
- Visit project sites to assess installation progress, address technical difficulties and monitor construction quality.
- Provide technical input for procurement of electrical, instrumentation and control equipment.
- Supervise vendors and subcontractors undertaking E&I fabrication and installation.
- Carry out and document insulation-resistance, continuity, earth-resistance and functional tests.
- Calibrate instruments, maintain traceable records, and complete loop and point-to-point checks of field devices.
- Follow permit-to-work, isolation, lock-out/tag-out, working-at-height and confined-space procedures.
- Maintain quality compliance, daily progress reports, material requests, timesheets, redline drawings and handover records.
Requirements
- B.Tech or B.Eng in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience in upstream, midstream or downstream facilities, such as gas plants, terminals, refineries, flow stations, pipelines or offshore platforms.
- Experience serving international clients or international/national oil companies is highly desirable.
- Electrical Trade Test Grades 2 and 3 and membership of COREN, NSE or another relevant professional body are added advantages.
