Senior, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) at Ernst & Young (EY) – Lagos
Ernst & Young is recruiting a Senior professional for its Financial Accounting Advisory Services team in Lagos. The role combines complex accounting advice, engagement delivery, people development and business growth.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and maintain relationships with clients and respond to technical accounting enquiries.
- Oversee engagement teams and help senior management deliver reporting and transaction advisory services.
- Guide assignments involving IFRS 17, financial reporting, transaction accounting and new accounting standards.
- Analyse client scenarios, prepare and review technical reports and identify sector or regulatory developments.
- Mentor junior team members, review performance and provide training and feedback.
- Strengthen service delivery through technology, knowledge sharing, professional development and collaboration.
- Spot client needs, contribute to proposals and develop internal and external business relationships.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or a related subject and an ICAN, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Five to seven years of accounting advisory or technical accounting experience in financial services, including banking or insurance.
- Strong understanding of IAS 32, IFRS 9, IFRS 7, IFRS 17, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 3 and IFRS 10.
- Skills in process improvement, engagement delivery, project and change management, and client development.
- Strong English communication, teamwork, leadership, resilience and professional judgement.
