Social Media Officer at Captain Residency Hotel – Abuja and Sabo Yaba, Lagos

Captain Residency Hotel is recruiting a full-time Social Media Officer for positions covering Abuja and Sabo Yaba, Lagos.

Role overview

Build and manage the company’s TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and other social media accounts.

Independently grow new social media accounts from zero to a strong, engaged audience, increasing brand awareness, followers and engagement.

Plan, shoot, edit and publish short videos and other social media content.

Keep up with social media trends and optimize content based on market demand.

Regularly analyze account performance and improve content strategy based on data.

Work closely with the sales team to increase brand awareness and generate customer leads through social media.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly follower growth rate across all platforms
• Engagement rate (likes, comments, shares, saves)
• Video views and reach performance
• Number of qualified leads generated through social media
• Conversion rate from social media campaigns
• Content consistency (number of posts/videos per week)
• Growth of brand awareness and online visibility
• Audience retention and watch time on video content

Requirements and qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree with 2-5 years experience.
• Proven experience building and growing TikTok, Facebook or other social media accounts from 0 to 1 is required.
• Must be able to provide examples of social media accounts or projects that have been managed.
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Facebook and Instagram algorithms and platform rules.
• Skilled in content planning, video shooting and editing.
• Creative, proactive, results-oriented, and able to analyze social media performance data.
• Experience in consumer electronics, mobile phone accessories is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using insights and analytics tools.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Experience in consumer electronics/mobile accessories is an added advantage.
• Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) is a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
