Team Lead, System Administrator at Moniepoint Incorporated – Lagos

Moniepoint Incorporated is hiring a Team Lead, System Administrator in Lagos to provide hands-on technical leadership across IT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, security, end-user systems and automation.

Team leadership and service delivery

• Lead and coach Systems Administrators, prioritise team workloads and uphold standard operating procedures and escalation processes.
• Monitor availability targets of at least 99.9%, ticket SLAs, incident response times and end-user satisfaction.
• Hold regular one-to-one discussions, give practical feedback and improve team performance through training and process improvements.

Infrastructure, cloud and networking

• Design and maintain servers, Proxmox virtualisation, Windows Server, Linux and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Manage cloud environments across GCP, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Azure, including VPCs, subnets, peering, firewall rules and private connectivity.
• Support BGP, virtual routers, F5 load balancers, VPNs, VLANs, switches, routers, wireless networks, DNS and DHCP.
• Plan infrastructure upgrades, maintain network documentation and optimise reliability, performance and cost.

Automation, telephony and security

• Manage IT AI tooling responsibly, coach team members on reviewing AI outputs and create n8n-enabled operational workflows.
• Write Python, PowerShell and Bash scripts; use Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Maintain Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios and other monitoring and alerting platforms.
• Administer xCALLY PBX, SIP trunks, call routing, IVR, queues and telecom-carrier relationships.
• Enforce access control, SSO, MFA, endpoint security, patching, identity governance and security incident response with root-cause analysis.

End-user systems

• Supervise device onboarding and offboarding, asset inventory, procurement coordination and advanced L2/L3 support.
• Administer Google Workspace, endpoint management and MDM across Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least five years in systems administration, infrastructure or network engineering and at least two years of team leadership.
• Strong Active Directory or directory-as-a-service, Linux/Unix, cloud networking and enterprise TCP/IP and BGP knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with Proxmox, cloud connectivity, telephony, infrastructure-as-code, scripting, monitoring, n8n and IT automation.
• Experience with Google Workspace, security tools, disaster-recovery procedures, Jira Service Management and service-level objectives.
• Technical certifications are desirable but not compulsory; demonstrate clear documentation, customer service and effective team leadership.
