Trainee Accountant at Genesis Group – Abuja, Port Harcourt and Abia (3 Openings)
Genesis Group is recruiting three full-time Trainee Accountants for openings in Abuja, Port Harcourt (Rivers State) and Abia State.
Responsibilities
- Support the finance team with journal entries, financial transactions and general or fixed-asset ledgers.
- Assist with bank, supplier, customer and ledger reconciliations.
- Help prepare month-end schedules, financial statements, cash-flow reports and management information.
- Organise accounting records for audit work and VAT or other tax filings.
- Maintain financial documents, track accounting deadlines and respond to routine enquiries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
- Active study towards, or willingness to pursue, a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAN or AAT.
- Microsoft Excel competence and familiarity with accounting or ERP software such as QuickBooks, Xero or SAP.
- Good numerical ability, attention to detail, integrity and basic knowledge of GAAP or IFRS principles.
