Waitress / Waiter at Davina Hill Resort & Hotel – Gwarinpa, Abuja

Davina Hill Resort & Hotel is recruiting a full-time Waitress / Waiter in Gwarinpa, Abuja to welcome guests, take accurate orders, serve meals and drinks and maintain a clean dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and courteously upon arrival.
• Escort guests to their tables when necessary.
• Present menus and provide accurate information about available meals, drinks, prices, and special offers.
• Respond politely to guests’ questions and enquiries.
• Attend promptly to guests’ needs and requests.
• Take guests’ food and beverage orders accurately.
• Confirm that orders are complete and meet guests’ requirements before serving.
• Process bills and payments accurately where assigned and authorized.
• Arrange chairs, cutlery, plates, glasses, and other table settings properly.
• Report spills, broken equipment, and other hazards immediately.
• Handle restaurant equipment carefully and report damaged or missing items.
• Assist with stock-taking and inventory checks when required.
• Attend staff briefings and departmental meetings as required.
• Report to work punctually and be properly dressed in the approved uniform.
• Avoid arguments, fighting, bullying, abusive language, and any form of misconduct in the workplace.
• Report incidents, customer complaints, and operational problems promptly.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Handle hotel property and restaurant equipment responsibly.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or an equivalent qualification with 1 year experience.
• Previous experience as a waitress, waiter, restaurant attendant, or food service staff is an advantage.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic numeracy skills for handling orders and bills.
• Good personal hygiene and a neat, professional appearance.
• Honest, disciplined, punctual, and dependable.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Excellent customer service.
