Weighbridge Officer at Dangote Group – Nigeria

Dangote Group is hiring a Weighbridge Officer in Nigeria to record accurate weights for incoming and outgoing trucks, maintain reliable weighbridge documentation and support stock reconciliation and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Weigh inbound and outbound trucks using approved processes, ensuring vehicles are correctly positioned and unoccupied during weighing.
• Enter weighment information accurately and prepare complete, readable tickets and waybills.
• Manage entry of self-collection trucks in the correct order recorded in the queue register.
• Return over- or underweight trucks to the plant, record details on the ATC and escalate issues promptly.
• Report dispatch-system errors to the responsible teams for resolution.
• Maintain safe, orderly work areas and escalate health, safety, security incidents and emergencies.
• Submit accurate daily activity reports and hand over unresolved issues to the Shift Supervisor or next shift.
• Complete other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or head of department.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• One to three years of experience in warehousing, tallying or logistics operations.
• Accuracy, numerical ability, organisation and strong interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work shifts and under pressure; Microsoft Excel knowledge is an advantage.
