Wheat Operation Executive at Olam Agri – Lagos

Olam Agri is recruiting a full-time Wheat Operation Executive in Lagos for its Wheat Milling & Pasta business, MATS department, to manage wheat receipts, storage and mill supply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise discharge from bulk wheat vessels to factory silos and onward transfers to mills.
• Monitor conveyors, unloading capacity, throughput and the availability of wheat for production.
• Coordinate stock counts, stock ageing and first-in-first-out procedures, investigating inventory differences.
• Arrange fumigation and pest control with safety colleagues and address quality matters with Quality Control.
• Monitor conveying and cleaning equipment and follow up on servicing, preventive maintenance and faults.
• Maintain wheat receipt, movement and inventory records, including SAP goods-receipt and physical-stock reconciliations.
• Prepare daily and weekly operations reports covering downtime, throughput, operating efficiency and compliance.
• Lead safe-work checks, follow operating procedures and support the close-out of safety observations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering.
• More than six years’ experience in agricultural processing or FMCG production.
• Technical understanding of bulk handling and conveying equipment.
• Ability to analyse operational data, troubleshoot performance problems and support continuous improvement.
• Strong Excel, reporting, communication and team-coordination skills.
