Accountant at Velox Real Estate and Investment Limited – Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Velox Real Estate and Investment Limited is recruiting a full-time Accountant in Port Harcourt to manage financial reporting, cash flow, property-project accounts and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, financial statements, KPI dashboards and variance analyses for leadership.
• Coordinate period-end close, reconciliations, accounting adjustments and audit-ready records.
• Monitor project revenue, cost-to-completion, budgets, profitability and potential overruns.
• Prepare cash-flow forecasts and manage payment priorities, financing gaps and obligations.
• Coordinate departmental and project budgets, forecasts and scenario analysis.
• Maintain internal controls, approvals, statutory and tax compliance.
• Reconcile customer instalments, receipts, credit balances, refunds and property-sales CRM data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a master’s degree is an advantage.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or ACCA; full qualification is strongly preferred.
• At least five years’ progressive accounting/finance experience with management reporting responsibilities.
• Two to three years in a senior, supervisory or managerial accounting position.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax compliance, including VAT, WHT and CIT.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP expertise, including Zoho Books.
• Experience in real estate, construction or project-based operations is an advantage.
