Application Security Engineer at Strivo Labs – Lagos
Strivo Labs is recruiting an Application Security Engineer in Lagos to assess applications, APIs and authentication systems and recommend vulnerability remediation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct authorised mobile, web and API security assessments and penetration tests within agreed scopes.
- Review API authorisation, authentication, access controls, session tokens and sensitive-data handling.
- Identify and document security weaknesses, assign severity and business impact, and prepare clear reports.
- Work with engineering colleagues on fixes and retest remediated vulnerabilities.
- Maintain testing evidence and comply with rules of engagement.
Requirements
- Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Practical experience in application security, vulnerability testing or penetration testing.
- Knowledge of OWASP risks, REST APIs, mobile security, session management and access control.
- Experience with Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Postman or comparable tools.
- Relevant certifications and fintech-security experience are advantages.
