Architectural & Interior Designer (Remote) at Studio COKA – Enugu
Studio COKA is recruiting a full-time, remote Architectural & Interior Designer, with Enugu identified as the vacancy location. The role combines architecture, interior planning, 3D visualisation, construction documentation and research. Candidates based in Enugu or willing to relocate there have an advantage; occasional site visits or physical meetings may be arranged by agreement.
Key responsibilities
- Develop practical architectural floor plans, elevations, sections, layouts and design concepts that address users, climate and site conditions.
- Prepare interior schemes, furniture arrangements, layouts, material selections and design presentations.
- Create and revise accurate 3D models and high-quality architectural and interior renders.
- Prepare working drawings, dimensioned plans, schedules, joinery details and construction documentation.
- Coordinate design information with consultants and resolve drawing inconsistencies.
- Research architecture, interior materials, construction methods and climate-responsive design strategies.
- Take responsibility for assigned tasks, agreed timelines, design quality and organised shared project files.
- Collaborate remotely with colleagues, participate in virtual reviews and report progress and challenges promptly.
- Remain open to feedback, revise designs efficiently and contribute to practical project delivery.
Qualifications and technical skills
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Architecture, Interior Design or a closely related discipline.
- At least three years’ relevant professional experience, supported by a strong architectural or interior design portfolio.
- Strong skills in floor plans, elevations, space planning, drafting, 3D modelling, rendering and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in relevant design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Archicad, SketchUp or Rhino, and rendering software such as Enscape, Lumion, D5 Render, V-Ray or Twinmotion. Knowledge of every named package is not required.
- Knowledge of construction documentation, building materials, detailing and practical design delivery.
- Reliable computer, stable internet and an appropriate workspace for professional remote work.
- Strong communication, independence, organisation, adaptability, willingness to learn and accountability.
Additional advantages
- Master’s degree in Architecture or previous remote-work experience.
- Experience producing detailed working drawings, coordinating construction teams or supporting site supervision.
- Knowledge of climate-responsive or passive design, physical model-making, furniture detailing and research-led design.
- Ability to start immediately.
Salary and benefits
Monthly pay ranges from ₦180,000 to ₦220,000. The position offers work across architecture, interior design and construction projects, research-led design exposure, learning and mentorship, and opportunities to take on greater responsibility based on performance.
